SNF Primetime Props: Tucked away value

Primetime NFL games bring in the numbers -- and the bets. In an attempt to boost gamer bankrolls, this only occasionally profitable bettor will attempt to stack greenbacks under the lights. As always, fade or follow -- that’s up to you.

The Pick: Sean Tucker OVER 46.5 rush yards (-115, BetMGM)

Hidden treasures worth a fortune can be found in the most common places.

Amongst periodicals and other keepsakes stashed in a Northern California attic for decades, a Superman No. 1 sat undisturbed. In a Heritage Auction last week, the coveted comic sold for a record-setting $9.12 million.

That’ll buy a lot of red capes.

Scored off waivers by fantasy managers seeking their own windfall, Sean Tucker investors are hopeful the once minimally rostered rusher will guide them to league riches.

Largely ignored in free agent pools for weeks, the elevated backup’s blasting of Buffalo in Week 11 skyrocketed demand. As a result, playoff-minded gamers smashed FAAB banks for his services. Undoubtedly the week’s hottest pickup, the perceived superhero has buyers believing.

Fantasy players aren’t alone in their optimism. Bettors also have an eyebrow raised — this Lex Luther doppelgänger included.

Tucker’s proposed rush yards prop appears quite doable. Earlier this week, Tampa OC Josh Grizzard remarked earlier this week “he expects” Tucker’s workload to continue its growth

On his 51 rush attempts, the promoted rusher hasn’t wowed. He’s posted only a 2.41 YAC per attempt and 13.7% missed tackle rate. However, his dazzling touches witnessed last week past every imaginable eye test. He broke tackles, pushed piles and exhibited soft hands consistently last week in Buffalo. Playing on a season-high 44.3% team snaps, his 140 total yards and 3 TDs versus the Bills could only be the beginning.

At No. 3 in rush EPA, the Rams are no punching bags versus the run. They’ve given up only 3.75 yards per carry and 76.9 rush yards per game to RBs. Just six rushers have reached 50 ground yards against them. It's a daunting matchup.

He may not be able to leap a building in a single bound given the opponent. But a back who collected cobwebs for weeks could soon boost bankrolls in a blink.

The proposed number on Tucker is simply too low. Krypto wags his tail in agreement.
