The hoopla, hysteria and general hype are unrivaled around the NFL Draft, where the usual pomp and circumstance is filled with stylish suits, neck-draped bling, main-stage struts, Roger Goodell bro hugs and lifelong dreams realized. However, selfish gamers only care about one thing — Where does the rookie rank in the fantasy pecking order?

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Panthers

Down the stretch in 2024, Bryce Young raised a bar that was set very low early in his second NFL season.

Adding a target like McMillan with sensational size (6-foot-4, 219 pounds) and separation skills (4.58 in the 40) can only increase Young’s potential as Carolina’s quarterback.

Given his skyscraper build, McMillan is a nuisance in man coverage. Last year with the Arizona Wildcats, he posted an 82 grade in single coverage. He also tallied an appreciable 5.1 YAC per reception and ranked in the top five nationally in total deep yards (427) and contested catches (18).

NFL scouts raved about McMillan’s in-game intelligence, general smoothness, wide catch radius and reliable hands. For Carolina's diminutive passer, he should stick out like a sore thumb whether working over the middle or outside the numbers.

Throw in the Panthers’ work-in-progress defense, which could crank up the pass game volume, and Tet's high-end WR3 appeal is realized.

Presumably available mid-draft in 12-team settings, McMillan is an upside buy capable of paying a handsome dividend.

Fearless Forecast: 75 receptions, 978 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns
