I’m going back to this well again after falling short with the Rangers on Tuesday night.
Seattle snapped a three-game skid with an 8-2 victory against Montreal, another Original Six team. The Kraken have scored 20 goals in just four road games, and that includes a shutout loss in Dallas. They’re very comfortable away from home.
On the flip side, Toronto has given up 18 goals over its last four games. So the Maple Leafs are by no means impervious to the opposition lighting the lamp.
I’ll be watching closely if the Leafs can stay out of the penalty box against Seattle. Jessica Campbell, the league’s first female assistant coach, runs the Kraken power play unit, and Toronto is tied for fifth in power-play goals allowed.
Seattle had two man-advantage tallies on Tuesday, so it could be heating up.
