The first week of Wimbledon has already sprung plenty of surprises. Defending women’s champion Marketa Vondrousova lost in the first round. Casper Ruud, the men’s No. 8 seed, was eliminated by 37-year-old Fabio Fognini in the second round. On Thursday, Jessica Pegula’s shocking, error-filled defeat against Wang Xinyu ruined a festive all-American parlay for the Fourth of July.
Friday is the day to get back on the winning track. The following play is the best way to achieve a much-needed cash.
The pick — Three-leg: Madison Keys ML, Coco Gauff to win 2-0 in sets, Jannik Sinner to win first set (+104, DraftKings)
Yep, we’re going with a three-leg parlay to replenish the bankroll. Below is a breakdown of each leg.
Madison Keys ML. The 12th-seeded Keys has been dominant. She won both of her matches in straight sets to reach the third round, where she faces No. 18 seed Marta Kostyuk, who needed a three-set comeback against No. 82-ranked Daria Saville to advance. The two have just one career meeting — last year at Wimbledon last year — with Keys easily dispatching Kostyuk 6-4, 6-1. So it’s easy to see why the American is a -340 favorite against the Ukrainian.
Coco Gauff to win 2-0 in sets. The second-seeded Gauff is a -1100 favorite to beat qualifier Sonay Kartal, who’s ranked 298th in the world. The total games prop — specifically the under on 18.5 games (-105) — is enticing, but it’s best to dabble in the set betting market for this second leg. Gauff has lost only six combined games in her two victories this week. She should roll into the fourth round with another straight-sets triumph.
Jannik Sinner to win first set. The world No. 1 is a fast starter. After dropping the opening set in his 2024 grass-court debut at last week’s Halle Open (which he won), the 22-year-old Italian has taken the first frame in six-consecutive matches, including his two victories at Wimbledon this week. He is a massive -2500 favorite against Miomir Kecmanovic, the world’s No. 52-ranked player who’s winless in three career matches against Sinner. You could opt for the moneyline wager, but that drops the parlay odds to -119.
Tennis record: 3-3, -0.73 units
