Timberwolves vs. Mavericks Game 4 player props: More double trouble

The NBA playoffs are always wild, wacky and filled with knife-thick drama. With players putting everything on the line in an attempt to bask in championship glory, naturally, the pressure-packed games are tremendously fun to wager on. As a result, the sportsbooks offer many creative ways to enhance the action. What is Brad’s SGP play in Timberwolves-Mavericks Game 4? Check out his lean below.

The pick — SGP: Luka Doncic 30+ points, Kyrie Irving 15+ points, Timberwolves +13.5 (+125, BetMGM)

Run it back, bro.

Twist this willing gambler’s arm why don’t ya? Heck, the inevitable pain is sure to feel pleasurable.

I did profit the last time the Luka-Kyrie killer combo parlay was featured, cashing in at a very handsome +145.

Ramping the juice the second time around by tacking on an unrelated-related leg, I’m feeling Gordon Gekko-ish. Hopefully, greed won’t turn this harmless individual into a ruthless monster.

Here’s more detail on the Timberwolves-Mavericks Game 4 SGP.

Luka Doncic 30+ points. The “Don” has seized all the days. Unstoppable against Minnesota, he’s scoring at will inside or burying heartbreaking threes with time expiring. In Dallas’ three victories, Doncic has averaged 32.7 points, eclipsing the 30-point mark in each contest. He’s also bombed from outside, netting 40.6% along the arc. Despite Doncic’s scoring surge, Minnesota head coach Chris Finch continues to periodically switch Rudy Gobert on the perimeter to defend Luka — a blatantly ineffective move. Given his enormous volume (23.0 attempts per game against vs. Wolves) and habanero-hot hand, another 30-plus from Doncic feels hardly risky, especially against a sputtering Minnesota D with a 118.5 defensive rating in the Western Conference finals.

Kyrie Irving 15+ points. Cue “Endless Love” because the bromance is real. Luka and Kyrie refuse to be contained. Zeroing in on the Duke product, he’s averaged 27.7 points in the series, shooting 52.5% from the floor including 43.8% from three. Rarely receiving a blow, he’s also averaged 40.4 minutes. Scoring at least 15 points in 11 of 15 playoff games this year, Irving is a highly bankable leg in the alt market. Just give me half-Luka and we cash.

Timberwolves +13.5 alt line. Adding the incongruent twist, Minnesota — with backs firmly pressed against the wall — hang tough in an elimination game. Despite Anthony Edwards’ mediocre production and their overall waning defense, the Wolves have been competitive. Over the three games, they’ve fallen short by three, one and nine points. Equally important, they’ve covered the standard spread in six of their last 10 postseason road games. With or without stellar contributions from Edwards and/or Karl-Anthony Towns, it’s unlikely Minnesota gets body-bagged in a potential closeout.

NBA postseason record: 11-23, -10.38 units
