NFL rookie QB prop bets: Passing TDs in 2024

With the 2024 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, gaming audiences are already presented with long-term investment opportunities. Where should gamblers stack their greenbacks in the season-long props market? Throughout the week, I shared my initial thoughts on an available wager tied to this year’s stellar quarterback class.

The pick — Bo Nix OVER 18.5 passing touchdowns (+100, DraftKings)

DraftKings offer:

Critics will contend Nix was a product of Oregon’s spread-it-out system, but discounting his No. 1 ranking among college QBs last season in adjusted completion percentage is an unfair knock.

Nix has the pocket presence, arm zip and quick-strike effectiveness to be immediately productive for the Broncos. Most importantly, he has a Master Splinter of QBs in head coach Sean Payton. The pupil/mentor relationship will be very valuable for Nix.

Denver’s pass-catching unit isn’t anything to get excited about, but Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, Tim Patrick and Marvin Mims present some appeal. Throw in the Broncos’ likely top-10 offensive line and eighth-easiest projected strength of schedule, and 19 passing TDs is a very attainable threshold for Nix.

More rookie QB props: Caleb Williams | Jayden Daniels | J.J. McCarthy
