For Tuesday’s wager, I’m looking to a pair of 27-win teams squaring off in Toronto.
The pick — Maple Leafs ML (+105, BetMGM)
Toronto had won five in a row before dropping its last two games. Meanwhile, Dallas had won seven in a row before falling 3-2 on the road to Ottawa on Sunday.
The Maple Leafs are the play, and the fact that they are +105 on the moneyline is absolutely bonkers. They own the Stars. And as a Stars fan, I always thought it was just in my head, but it’s true.
Toronto won 5-3 in Dallas last month 5-3 and is on a seven-game win streak over the boys from Big D. The Stars haven’t beaten the Leafs since Feb. 13, 2020. Yes, that was before COVID-19 eventually halted all sports for months.
I usually avoid betting on Dallas games, as I’ve previously stated, but with that value, I just can’t see Toronto dropping a third-straight game.
