Breece Hall devotees are downright disgusted. The high-draft-capital back hasn’t exactly returned on the exorbitant investment. As a result, many are beginning to wonder if Allen, in pure baseline talent terms, is the better overall Jets running back.

Hall is a more accomplished and versatile receiver, but Allen’s tackle-busting power and open-field burst are arguably better. The kid — he still can’t throw back a Yuengling legally — has an enormous ceiling.

So far, the former Badgers star has bested Hall in multiple advanced categories, including YAC per attempt (3.44-2.98), missed tackle rate (15.6%-10.7%) and yards created per touch (4.06-3.58). Hall’s opportunity grip won’t completely loosen, but the rookie could slowly wrest away additional touches.

The Jets, who check in at No. 23 in EPA per play offense, aren’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard. They need playmakers to, well, make plays. That’s why it’s conceivable Allen’s role could steadily grow — this week included.

In Week 6, New York clashes with Empire State compatriot Buffalo. As witnessed repeatedly this season, Sean McDermott’s club is rather uninterested in containing opposing ground games. The Bills rank No. 22 in rush EPA defense and have allowed 4.72 yards per carry, 171.0 total yards per game, six total touchdowns and the third-most fantasy points to RBs.

Earmuffs, loyal Hall backers. With head coach Robert Saleh axed, it's time to unleash the emerging beast — especially with a dinged Aaron Rodgers (ankle).

With four teams on a bye, flex Allen with confidence.

A sauce-smothered stack of Nashville hot chicken resting comfortably on a creamy bed of delicious mac and cheese. That, my fellow fantasy freaks, is how tasty Pollard’s matchup is against the Colts, who have performed more like broken-down quarter horses in the trenches. Indianapolis is No. 21 in success rate rush D, giving up 4.22 yards per carry, a staggering 206.8 total yards per game, three total touchdowns and the ninth-most fantasy points per game. Pollard has boomed in multiple advanced categories — his 4.07 YAC per attempt (RB3) particularly shines — and should again excel for fantasy devices. Recharged off the bye, the Tennessee RB1 packs the spice.

Yes, Allgeier is more hit or miss than the highly questionable enchilada dish that you, for some inexplicable reason, continuously order at the nearby Mexican joint. However, an encounter with Carolina’s overly gracious defensive front always kicks up the heat. The Hello Kitties of Charlotte haven’t earned their Fancy Feast. The trash-picking felines rank No. 25 in rush EPA D, yielding 4.25 yards per carry, 155.8 rushing yards per game, 11 total touchdowns and the most fantasy points to the position. The perpetual Bijan Robinson thorn should reach double figures in touches for the third time this season. Given Allgeier’s break-tackle ability (3.70 YAC/attempt), the burly back is in line to flatten the completion. With four teams on a one-week siesta, fire him up in the FLEX.

Fearless Forecast: 9 carries, 40 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 2 receptions, 11 receiving yards, 12.1 fantasy points

Season record: 8-6
