Each week, the Noise highlights under-started names who he believes are destined to torch the competition. To qualify, each player must have started in fewer than 60 percent of Yahoo leagues. Speaking as an accountability advocate, I will post results, whether genius or moronic, the following week. Scoring thresholds (0.5 PPR) – QB: 18 fantasy points; RB: 12 fantasy points (10 for shockers); WR: 11 fantasy points; TE: 10 fantasy points.

The tag team of Mostert and De’Von Achane is in the running for the intercontinental belt title.

Known for his muscle, Mostert brings the body slams, while Achane lands elbows after leaping from the top rope. Clotheslining would-be tacklers last week in Buffalo, the Dolphins duo combined for 209 total yards and two touchdowns.

Of course, Miami’s lightning struck fantasy managers most, but Achane’s accomplice also averaged an attention-grabbing 7.3 yards per touch. Mostert also tallied 4.90 yards after contact per attempt and forced three missed tackles on just 10 rushing attempts. When given opportunities, the man is efficient.

Presumably on another 10-15 touches, Mostert is worth consideration at RB2 or the FLEX in 12-team leagues — especially with four teams on a one-week siesta.

Sheared sheep in the trenches, the Rams have offered little resistance to hard-pounding ground games. They rank No. 17 in rush EPA defense, allowing 4.25 yards per carry, 144.0 total yards per game and six TDs to running backs. As the timeshares of Detroit and Chicago showcased earlier this season against Los Angeles, Miami’s RBBC members could both finish well inside the RB top 20.

Is Mostert a must start? Not exactly, but for managers with dicey alternatives, he’s worth the moderate risk.

Fearless Forecast: 11 carries, 49 rushing yards, 2 receptions, 12 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 13.1 fantasy points

vs. Panthers in Munich

Are you looking for unheralded fantasy production at running back? Well, you better call Tyrone. The still-green RB — he primarily played wide receiver at Purdue — should provide plenty of statistical buzz. On defense, the Panthers are dumpster-dwelling alley cats. They are dead last in rush EPA defense, surrendering 4.64 yards per carry, 168.7 rushing yards per game, 15 combined touchdowns and THE most fantasy points to RBs. Tracy’s power and jukes should earn all the Bavarian pretzels in Munich. He’s compiled 3.01 yards after contact per attempt (RB29) and forced a missed tackle on 16.9% of his rushing attempts. With at least 17 touches in four of his last five games, Tracy should blitzkrieg one of the worst trench defenses in the NFL.

Fearless Forecast: 18 carries, 83 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 2 receptions, 10 receiving yards, 16.3 fantasy points

Bucky Irving, Buccaneers

vs. 49ers

Irving is a rookie running back who’s operating in a full-blown committee, battling turf toe and facing a San Francisco defense in the top half of fewest fantasy points allowed to RBs. Really? Ummm … what the Buck, Evans? Yes, Rachaad White and Sean Tucker will continue to be involved, but Irving is arguably Tampa Bay’s most effective all-around rusher. Through nine weeks, he’s top-five in YAC per attempt (3.76) and has forced a missed tackle on an absurd 32.9% of his carries. Simply, the dude steadily embarrasses would-be tacklers. On what should be another 10-15 touches, he should do enough damage to justify an RB2 standing. The 49ers are a suboptimal No. 23 in rush EPA D, giving up 3.72 yards per carry, 116.7 rushing yards per game and eight TDs to RBs. There are downsides, but as witnessed in Kansas City on Monday, the Bucs should hang tough. Once again without wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Todd Bowles is sure to lean on the ground game.

Fearless Forecast: 11 carries, 44 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 3 receptions, 13 receiving yards, 13.2 fantasy points

Season record: 14-11
